Please note, the more information you provide, the better we can place you in the right job! Experience is not always necessary, training will be provided, but for some jobs in the wineries at least a year of experience is desirable.
The Station Backpacker is specialized in organizing seasonal work to Work & Holiday visa holders. The New Zealand Wine-Industry is thriving and especially in Blenheim there is nearly all year around lots of work in the vineyards and wineries. In the hot summer months as well as in the cool winter time, there is always something to do in the beautiful vineyards around Blenheim. We help you to get the right job and give you all the right tips to have a good experience in the seasons. You need a valid Work & Holiday visa or any other Work Permit to be eligible to do seasonal work. You should have an IRD number and valid Bank Account to get your wages payed correctly. Depending on the job and season work can be paid on an hourly basis and as well on a per plant basis (contract). Seasonal work can be at varying weather conditions and temperatures, so come prepared and bring some warm clothes in winter and some gumboots. In summer make sure you wear a hat, sunglasses and suncream.
